There is a well known vulnerability, which I will not describe here in detail for obvious reasons, in the cab door locks on the Fiat Ducato / Peugeot Boxer / Citroen Relay. With only a small amount of damage to the door the lock can be released from outside - this can be done almost silently - there have been a good number of reported instances online of this on the various motorhome forums.

To make your van secure whilst youre inside it some people put a strap across the cab between the door handles - but this is both intrusive (especially if youve got swivel seats) and also makes it difficult to get out in an emergency. Some people fit deadlocks to the doors, but this is expensive, requires drilling holes in the doors, and again makes a rapid exit in the event of fire in particular very difficult.
