This compact mechanical keyboard combines portability with versatile functionality, ideal for desktop and laptop users seeking a mini keyboard with reliable performance. The device supports multiple connection options through its USB interface and includes a 1.5-meter A to C data cable for convenient connectivity.

Design and Build

The keyboard measures approximately 25cm in length, 12cm in width, and 1.4cm in height, featuring square keys that are 1.7cm and rounded keys measuring 2.7cm. Its white keycaps complement a multicolor RGB backlight that enhances visibility and aesthetic appeal during use.

Key Features and Firmware

The keyboard comes equipped with Jiadalon low-profile linear red mechanical switches, which are soldered onto the circuit board and do not support hot swapping. It operates at a 1000Hz polling rate, ensuring responsive input for various applications.

You can choose between two firmware options:

QMK Firmware: Optimized for computer keyboard use, providing full support for Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.
GP2040-CE Firmware: Enables compatibility with PC, PS3/PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Android devices. It supports custom functionality via the VIA web interface and disables the RGB lighting to improve performance.

Joystick Functionality

When using the GP2040-CE firmware, the keyboard offers two key layouts. In the PS layout, two large round keys simulate the left joystick and right joystick. Pressing these buttons moves the joystick moves left and right respectively, providing a unique input method for gaming consoles.

The full-key layout functions as a basic computer keyboard with 18 keys, while the PS layout supports all 20 keys for broader functionality. Note that the two buttons in the upper right corner are inactive in the full-key layout as they correspond to joystick buttons.

Connectivity and Usage

The keyboard features a Type-C interface, and the included data cable supports easy connection to a host computer or console. Users also have the option to connect using a dual C-port data cable (sold separately), allowing enhanced flexibility for devices with USB-C inputs.

Compatibility Notes

This keyboard supports PS4 consoles and enables playing PS4 games on PS5 consoles. However, it does not support native PS5 games. In PS console mode, the simulated left joystick and right joystick provide intuitive control for compatible games such as DJMAX.
