Technical Data

Scope of Use
- Ensures communication compliance with IEC 61851 and SAE J1772 standards for AC electric vehicle charging.
- Installation conforms to DIN EN60715 standards for ease and safety.
- Relay outputs control the AC contactor that switches power to the load.
- Three-color LED indicators provide clear status updates for charging interface operations.
- Supports additional features such as non-contact IC card modules, DC leakage detection (RCMU), RS485 communication, plug locks, and emergency stop buttons.
Application Cases
Example schematic includes configurations with circuit breakers and contactors to ensure controlled power distribution and safety.

Controller Charging Procedure
Upon powering, the controller performs initialization and self-diagnostics. It awaits connection with the vehicle and charging cable, visually indicated by LED color cycles to ensure correct and safe charging engagement.
Charging begins when the vehicle status is confirmed, maintained by the controller’s relay function and LED status. The unit safeguards against overheating by halting charging and alerting with LED signals as necessary.
Terminal Description

Functional grounding
- Connect "CP" directly to the vehicle charging terminal interface for optimal control.
- Ensure proper grounding by linking the vehicle PE line to the OV control point of the EPC controller before other connections.
- Reliable functional grounding is critical to prevent risks of injury or property damage.
Relay Output
Recommended connection with a 230/400V 10kA curve B RCCB ensures effective safety during operation.
Power Branch Cutoff
In compliance with IEC 61851, the power branch is disconnected within 100ms after the charging process completes. The controller then deactivates the relay output for enhanced safety.
Replacement Procedure
For safe replacement, power must be fully disconnected. The controller detaches easily from the DIN rail and reconnects effortlessly, minimizing downtime and ensuring continued reliability.
- Step 1: Disconnect lines from EPC controller terminals.
- Step 2: Release latch and remove from DIN rail.
- Step 3: Attach new unit by clipping onto DIN rail.
- Step 4: Reconnect power lines.
- Step 5: Restore main power and switch on.
Note: No replaceable fuse is inside; ensure full power disconnection prior to handling.
Safety and Maintenance
This unit is maintenance-free; cleaning or disassembling is not recommended due to voltage hazards. Always prioritize safety when interacting with the device.
